The 2G Mobile network provides voice & SMS in all sites nationwide. Edge/GPRS for Mobile Internet is available in all Provincial Centers including Seghe & Malu’u. Rural mobile sites have voice & SMS service.
3G UMTS 2100MHz
This network provides Voice, SMS, MMS and Mobile Broadband services on HSDPA 3.6Mbps. Service through this network may be accessed in Honiara, Auki, Gizo, Munda and Noro.
UMTS 850MHz
An enhanced network for faster speed and access, available as of September 2012. Services available on this network are Voice, SMS, MMS, Mobile Broadband on HSDPA 14.4 Mbps and HSUPA 5.76 Mbps. Services through this network may be accessed in Honiara.
