  • At least 5 years of extensive experience in similar roles.



  • Motivate and promote enhanced understanding and support of STCL’s vision and activities.
  • Identify issues in media for staff and manage accordingly.
  • Support and advocate for the STCL organisational change Reform process.
  • Works to improve the profile and awareness of the STCL projects, including support to STCL theme days.
  • Staff Calendar Events and Budget.


  • Development of materials for advocacy and awareness.
  • Follows-up on the production of advocacy and communications materials.
  • Organize strategic launches and promotion of STCL’s flagship publications in the country.
  • Monitor the national, regional and international press coverage of STCL and the development debate in the region.


  • Design framework of the STCL Communications.
  • Improve on internal communication process.
  • Review External Process.
  • Update communication Policies.
  • Ensures elaboration & implementation of Communication strategy consistent with STCL goals.
  • Review and Develop of Policies and Procedures.


  • Development of materials for advocacy and awareness.
  • Work with the departments with business issues.
  • Coordinates and supervises work of STCL Communications Unit.
  • Organization of trainings for the STCL staff on communication issues.
  • Coordinate photography for/of events, activities, etc. for use in publications, media, etc. and ensure appropriate releases are signed and filed; maintain graphics & photo files.

Qualifications Required: Diploma, Bachelor or higher qualification in the field of Journalism, Business Administration or equivalent.
