Our Telekom, the leading telecommunications provider in Solomon Islands, has been announced by GOC as one of its major Presenting Sponsor and Exclusive Opening Ceremony Partner for the 2023 Pacific Games to be hosted in Honiara from November 19 to December 2, 2023. Our Telekom is proud to be the Official Telecommunications Presenting Sponsor for the Pacific Games, providing significant support to the Games Committee in the lead-up phase and throughout the games.
As the Official Telecommunications Sponsor, Our Telekom's sponsorship commitment includes telecommunication infrastructure valued at SBD $10.7 million for the 17th Pacific Games. Our Telekom's support will ensure that the GOC Headquarter, competition venues, non-competition venues, and Games Village have access to reliable and fast internet connectivity, enabling real-time communication and data transfer between venues and GOC staff. This sponsorship will support the Games Committee to deliver a world-class event, with athletes, technical officials, and support staff from 24 countries traveling to Honiara for the games.
In addition, Our Telekom will be the Opening Ceremony Partner Sponsor of the 2023 Pacific Games, showcasing its commitment to supporting a historical event for Solomon Islands.
