Solomon Telekom Company Limited extends a warm and honored welcome to the Australian Minister for Communications, the Honourable Michelle Rowland, who visited Our Telekom on the 25th of August. This momentous occasion marks a significant step in the strengthening of international collaboration within the telecommunications sector.


The visit is a landmark event for Solomon Telekom Company Limited, and our entire team is elated to welcome Minister Michelle Rowland. The day commenced with a boardroom break-fast, bringing together the company’s Board of Directors, Senior Management team, and staff members, all of whom gathered to commemorate this historic milestone.


The Minister’s visit encompassed both the Telekom Ranadi Complex and the Telekom Point Cruz Office, where she engaged in immersive walkthroughs of key areas, including Telekom Television (TTV), M-SELEN (Solomon Telekom’s pioneering mobile money service), and our dedicated customer support center (CSC).

The engagement showcased the shared commitment to enhancing connectivity and communication for the Solomon Islands Minister Michelle Rowland expressed her enthusiasm for the visit, stating, “Reliable access to communications – from telecommunications to internet access - isn’t a luxury, or nice-to-have, it is a necessity in an increasingly connected society. It is an honour to visit Our Telekom to see first-hand the work they are doing to boost connectivity of Solomon Islands citizens.”
