M-SELEN Partners with SINU to Enable Digital Payment of University Fees
Honiara, Solomon Islands — M-SELEN, the country’s leading mobile financial service powered by Our Telekom, has officially launched a new partnership with the Solomon Islands National University (SINU), enabling students, parents, and sponsors to pay all SINU fees digitally through M-SELEN with zero transaction fee.
This partnership marks a significant milestone in improving access to education and modernizing payment systems across the Solomon Islands. Students can now pay their fees securely from anywhere in the country, removing the need to travel long distances or wait in queues.
The new service empowers thousands of SINU students, both in Honiara and the provinces, with a convenient, cashless, and reliable way to meet their financial obligations. All major university fees, including tuition, registration, course materials, examination, and reprint fees, are now available through the M-SELEN platform.
Marking the service launch, Head of M-SELEN, Mr. Majidul Haque, said:

The partnership with our Telekom through M-SELEN, a financial digital platform would not only enhance educational opportunities but also drive competition and innovation in the telecommunication sector, benefiting the Solomon Islands. This will be enabling students fee payers/sponsors to pay tuition fees and other charges digitally would streamline financial process, reduce delays and improve accessibility. This will align with the University policies making payment digital and avoid cash handling. Student will no longer joining long queue at designated bank rather they can make payment anywhere at any time. Student will have the opportunity to choose the digital platform which accessible to pay for tuition fees and other related fee charges to the University. Hoping this will easy for student to settle their fees on semester payment schedule as it is more accessible to students and fee payers.
