The Solomon Islands National University SINU, will now benefit from an upgraded internet service by Our Telekom.
The service includes an expansion of the existing dedicated internet link, with an option to further additional Mbps.
Our Telekom CEO Mr Loyley Ngira and Vice Chancellor Dr Glynn Galo sealed the improved service with a small but very significant signing ceremony Friday last week at the National Institution.
During the signing Vice Chancellor Dr Glynn Galo appreciated Our Telekom’s strong support for education and high learning institutions in Solomon Islands indicated by the improved service that Our Telekom is able to provide for SINU.
“We are pleased that you have been able to accommodate our need which reflects in the agreement we are signing.”
Galo also extends the institutions gratitude on behalf of the senior officers of the University and thanks Our Telekom for understanding and catering for their internet needs.
Our Telekom CE Mr Loyley Ngira in response says that with the established relationship that Our Telekom has with O3b Network, who is currently the fastest global satellite services provided, Our Telekom is able to cater for the needs of the National University at an attractive price.

Our Telekom CE Mr Loyley Ngira also assures the National University of cost effect opportunities that might be accessible in the future, that can be assessed and passed on to the institution.
With the influx of students in 2016 and the expectation of more enrolments in the years ahead, the upgraded internet access will strengthen the institutions capacity to provide a more efficient service for both staff and students.
