Our commitment to you. In support of Solomon Islands Government's response to the national COVID19 State of Emergency, Our Telekom offers the following initiatives for Telekom customers.
FREE INTERNET ACCESS FOR SINU AND USP STUDENTS
- This incentive allows tertiary students of Solomon Islands National University and The University of the South Pacific (Honiara Campus) to access their uni’s websites and e-learning platforms from their mobiles even with zero credit balance. Students can either use their mobiles to browse content remotely from their homes or tether their mobile to laptop to access e-learning platforms. No internet charges will be placed when visiting these sites.
SUPPORT FOR NRH & EMERGENCY WORKERS
- Provision of free Broadband Internet access for the Emergency Operation Center at NRH
- Provision of toll free 115 service for the Honiara Emergency Operation Center at NRH
SI-PNG BORDER PREP
- Provision of Internet and voice telephony for 3 border police posts – Harapa, Kulitanai, Kariki.
FONESHOPS COVID19 RESPONSE PLAN
- Our Telekom rolls out preventive measures against the spread of COVID19 for customers visiting our Point Cruz Foneshop include; controlled entry, provision of disinfectants and hand sanitizers, and two wash sinks and soaps outside to encourage customers to practice hand washing and COVID19 awareness materials posted inside all Foneshops.
SUPPORT MINISTRY OF AVIATION AND COMMUNICATION
- Donated mobiles to Min of Aviation and Coms. 2 smartphones.
FREEWAN BUNDLE
- In May Our Telekom offered the FreeWan Bundle that gives Telekom Customers free voice calls, 100 Texts and 1GB of Internet Data to be able to connect with their families during the SOE. Customers can only subscribe to FreeWan Bundle once in 30 Days.
SPONSOR SMS BLASTS ON COVID19 AWARENESS
- We provide free SMS blast to entire 350k+ mobile base for Ministry of Health & Medical Services (MHMS), Royal Solomon Islands Police (RSIP) and Seif Ples messages
TOLL FREE BILLBOARD PUBLICITY
- Our Telekom repurpose billboards around Honiara to publicize toll-free number, 115, public can call.
