Our Telekom operating in the Solomon Islands Market and is a market leader in the fast-paced telecommunications industry. Based in Honiara, the Head of Legal & Regulatory will provide legal leadership across the business. The Head of Legal & Regulatory reports to Our Chief Executive, Corporate Department.

Position Purpose: You will be providing proactive, in-depth business focused advice to the company as well as implementing initiatives and processes in order to set standards and reinforce a culture of integrity, quality, compliance, ethical behaviour and responsibility across our business. Additionally you will be tasked to analyse and identify legal risks and implications, keeping the Senior Management Team aware of developments in laws and legislations that potentially affect or risk the business.

Number of position available: 1

Eligible nationality: Applicant must hold Solomon Islands citizenship.

Competency Required (skills, knowledge & experience):

  • Must have a demonstrable track-record producing effective and high-quality legal advice to departmental heads within a business, leading to enhanced integrity in both internal and external affairs.
  • Exceptionally good communication skills, written and oral.
  • Solid commercial drafting skills.
  • Must be a result-driven and service-driven individual, must have exceptionally good problem solving. skills, be highly adaptable and flexible, work comfortably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Qualifications Required: Minimum Bachelor degree in Law level from an accredited institution with a minimum 10 years’ experience in a legal corporate environment, preferably telecommunications
